About Me

I make one-of-a-kind tools and rarely take commissions. I make what I like and honestly, don't like the pressure of screwing up someone else's vision. I pride myself on the quality and durability of my work and the attention to detail paid to each piece.

It's my promise that each piece that comes out of my shop was created to the best of my ability with no shortcuts taken.

Growing up, my dad was firm but fair. He was a business owner twice, an inventor, patent holder, entrepreneur, haggler, restorer, flipper, and so much more. He brought me along for all of it and taught me most of it.

My first adult job was a full-time knifemaker for Anza knives located in El Cajon, CA. We turned metal files and rasps into high-quality durable knives. Being young and dumb, I didn't realize the opportunity I had and wasted it with laziness and was let go after a few years.

Decades later, I rediscovered my inner craftsman. I borrowed my dad's tools, started making wooden flags and other things, and even bought a CNC machine. I stumbled into the cannabis community online, found my niche, and brought Roll 'em Up Ind. back to life (a clothing company my good buddy and I started years ago), this time focused on custom dab tools. But the knife itch stuck with me and with the blessing of my wife, I dove headfirst back into knife making.

A name change was in order as now I was making all kinds of tools. I needed a name that reflected the legacy I wanted to leave behind. My dad had passed in 2021, and it got me thinking about the importance of creating something that lasts. And so, Legacy Tool Company was born.

Now I'm a bit of a jack of all trades – knife maker, dab tool artisan, woodworker, even a little bit of a welder. I'm a one-man show, just trying to make a living and leave my mark on the world one tool at a time.
